Alves Bandeira brings employees together for a training and team-building event
2025-02-28On February 21, Alves Bandeira held the 8th edition of the AB Meeting, an annual event that brings together its teams, including service station managers, commercial teams, marketing, non-fuel, training academy, customer support, and other strategic areas supporting the business.
This meeting, which aims to evaluate the results of the previous year and, above all, prepare for future challenges and opportunities, gathered more than 200 employees from across the country, from north to south.
The opening session, under the theme "Challenges and Opportunities for 2025", was led by José Fialho, Retail Director of Alves Bandeira, who presented an overview of the past year and outlined the key priorities and strategic directions for 2025.
Throughout the morning, participants were divided into working groups, where, in practical and dynamic sessions, they had the opportunity to take part in workshops led by the heads of the Commercial, Marketing, Operations, and Non-Fuel areas, fostering greater engagement and knowledge sharing among all present.
After an initial period dedicated to work and training, the event continued with a teambuilding activity, designed to reinforce the importance of teamwork as a key driver for the development of any organization.
To close the workday, Rui Bandeira, President of Grupo Alves Bandeira and CEO of Alves Bandeira, provided an overview of the Group’s businesses and the range of benefits available to employees, further reinforcing the company’s commitment to engagement, development, and appreciation of its people.
"AB Meeting is an essential moment to consolidate our strategy and strengthen our teams’ commitment to the values that guide us daily, namely proximity, shopping experience, and excellence in customer service. This event is also particularly important as it allows us to analyze results and identify areas for improvement together so that we can continue to grow in a solid and sustainable way," emphasized the Retail Director.
The event could not conclude without the much-anticipated Night of the Oscars, a celebration that recognizes employees and service station teams who stood out the most throughout the year. In an evening filled with festivities, entertainment, and music, the surprise of the night was the presence of comedian Fernando Rocha. Beyond delivering an outstanding comedy performance, the evening was marked by Alves Bandeira’s tribute to the comedian’s generosity and humanity, particularly in recognition of his selfless act of offering part of his liver to young Benjamim, the son of writer Pedro Chagas Freitas, without seeking public attention for his gesture.
In this context, the 8th edition of the AB Meeting once again reinforced Alves Bandeira’s commitment to the development and recognition of its teams.
As the company celebrates the 50th anniversary of Grupo Alves Bandeira, this vision was further reinforced in a moment of great emotion and recognition when, at the end of the President’s presentation, a quote from his father and the company’s founder, Cassiano Alves Bandeira, was recalled: "We are nothing without our employees (...). Only together, employer and employees, can we continue this journey of success."
